Jyotirmoy Bhattacharya participated in the inaugural Buddhist Arts Symposium, "Visualising Buddhist Narratives: Portraits of Buddha Life Stories as Cultural Linkage," on invitation, at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok. The symposium was a highlight of the 1st International Conference of the Asian Association for Buddhist Studies (AABS). Organised by CODE Studio, SCICCA, KATS, the Thai Cultural Corner, and Chulalongkorn University. The event served as a pivotal platform for the leading scholars and researchers to engage in a productive dialogue about how Buddhist narratives connect cultures throughout Asia. Bhattacharya’s paper, "Gautama Buddha: Prints and Popular Arts during the Colonial Period in India", was presented to an engaging international audience. His presentation was part of a distinguished lineup of global speakers who shared their insights on the profound influence of Buddhist art.
