Mahabharat

A powerful reinterpretation of the Mahabharat unfolds through the eyes of four eminent artists Aditya Basak, Chandra Bhattacharjee, Jaya Ganguly, and Samir Aich, in a unique exhibition curated by Jyotirmoy Bhattacharya. Inaugurated by legendary actor Soumitra Chatterjee and filmmaker Goutam Ghose at the Birla Academy of Art & Culture, the show explores the epic’s enduring relevance in today’s world. With evocative large-format canvases and intimate smaller studies also on view at Gallery Charubashona, the exhibition invites viewers to engage with the Mahabharat not as a linear narrative, but as a layered, deeply personal reflection on the human condition.
